Conditions
Driving Instructors
The Driving Instructor Is a self-employed independent operator. All lessons are booked directly with the instructor and once introduced through Marks Driving School it will constitute an agreement between - The Instructor and the pupil.
Special Offers / Beginners Packages
- All Special Offers are subject to the discretion of Marks Driving School.
- Starter packages are for pupils who have had no previous driving experience at all on request.
- First Lesson discounts may be given to pupils who have some previous driving experience but not to full licence holders. This cannot be taken in conjunction with the beginner’s starter packages.
- All starter packages and block purchases are purchased as a complete package/block and therefore no part refunds are given for any hours not taken or cancelled by the pupil.
Bookings
All bookings must be paid for over 72 hours before to confirm the lesson.
Block Bookings are purchased as a complete package and no part refunds will be given for hours not taken. They also must be paid for over 72 hours before the first lesson otherwise normal hourly rate will apply.
All payments are made direct to the driving instructor and any refunds will be made from the driving instructor. The Driving Instructor can reserve the right to cancel or change lesson times and dates if the pupil is not fit to drive due to safety reasons or there is a need to move the lesson.
Cancellations
Unless Covid 19 related, cancellations must be made over 48 hours before the time of the start of the lesson to the instructor or the lesson fee will still apply.
If covid 19 related a positive PCR test result will need to be shown to the instructor, or the lesson fee will still have to be paid.
Road Safety
The Driving Instructor can reserve the right to cancel a lesson if the pupil is deemed to be unfit for driving due to alcohol, drugs or other medical reasons that may affect the safety of themselves or others.
The Driving Instructor will reserve the right to withdraw the car from test without notice should the pupil not be up to test standard due to safety reasons.
Responsibility
We cannot be held responsible for postponements of lessons due to illness or mechanical breakdown, nor for driving tests postponed by the Driving Vehicle and Standards Agency.
Theory And Practical Tests
Can only be taken by holders of a Provisional Driving Licence holders.
Your instructor will advise you when appropriate to book the practical test.
